IBG Models 1/72 PZL P.24B Fighter in Bulgarian Service (72554)

Today's article will tell you more about IBG Models 1/72 PZL P.24B Fighter in Bulgarian Service (72554). As you can notice in the name, whole boxing is dedicated to markings from one country. Model might be familiar to some of you, but new decals might make some nice colorful models. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in several bags. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with PZL aircraft in big scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First two frames are dedicated to wing and fuselage parts. Note that external features are quite prominent and should look great on the finished model. Wing features separate ailerons.

Another pair of fuselage halves might be handy for Bulgarian version. Here you can also see the engine which looks great out of the box.

I like that cowling is molded as single-piece part. Such design will look better on the model. Yes, propeller has attachment points right on the blades.

There are two versions of the landing gear in the kit. One is provided with premolded fairing, while another one copies just wheels.

All struts are molded separately and have guiding elements. Overall molding quality looks great.

Clear parts are molded in nice quality, but there are no masks provided in the kit. Moreover, today's version should use clear film which you can see on the photo below.

It is nice to see PE parts included here. Those will come handy for internal and external features on your model.

Decals are printed in Techmod, so you don't have to worry about printing quality. Note that there are some cockpit decals too. You can see all markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New aircraft release should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get almost all necessary things, but this is definitely not a kit for beginners. Moreover, even some professionals will need time to get all tiny parts in place. Nevertheless, whole set looks like an interesting choice for those who are tired from typical choices in small scale.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Good decals
  • PE included
