Miniart 1/48 P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt (48001)

This time we have a chance to check new Miniart 1/48 P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt (48001). As you can guess, we get yet another version of the famous aircraft. Note that it is called Advanced Kit and includes even more features in comparison with the previous release. Aircraft itself doesn't need an extra introduction and should be familiar to all aviation fans. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames comes sealed in the bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.

First frame carries some of the wing mechanization parts as well as landing gear elements. There are guiding pins inside which should help you with alignment.

Just like previous release, this one features various external equipment sprues interconnected together. Overall quality looks great, and it is always nice to get those in the box.

Next we see another types of landing gear parts and cockpit elements. Note that the cabin will get some extra features with help of PE.

Engine looks as good as in the previous release. Nevertheless, here we have an option to open the cowling and expose it on your aircraft.

This sprue is exclusive for Advanced Kit. You will find new parts for the open cowling as well as open ammo bays in both sides of the wing.

All those features should look great on 1/48 scale P-47. Keep in mind that it will also take some time to assemble and paint those.

Here you can see "standard" top wing panels as well as cowling parts. External details look great out of the box.

Both fuselage halves come on their own frames and molded with tail fin. Inside you will find guiding pins.

Some of you noted in the comments under video that they received a better clear part. Well, here you can also see improved version which will definitely look nice on the finished model.

Unpainted PE fret is another special bonus for Advanced Kit version. Some parts are quite tiny, so be ready to work with tweezers.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about quality. Miniart also included some of the cockpit decals, which you can find in the lower right corner.

Stencils have segmentation which will make it easier to apply on the model. You can see three markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New Thunderbolt should be already available for purchase. In my opinion this version offers you a chance to get even more features on the model. Miniart did a great work on the plastic itself, so there will be plenty of options to decide on. Moreover, it is interesting to see what will be offered by aftermarket brands as masks are must have for this canopy. :)
