Today we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Mighty Eighth Limited Edition (11174). As you can guess from the boxart, kit features famous P-51 in popular scale. It is relatively fresh plastic from Czech manufacturer, which now comes in a package focused on 66th Fighter Wing. Inside you will get PE, masks, Brassin parts and decals for 10 markings. Packaging is typical for this brand, so everything is packed into separate bags. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Limited Edition in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame is dedicated to external equipment which can be installed on the aircraft. Of course, some parts will stay unused and can go into your spare parts box.
Main wheel wells and the tail one can be found on the next sprue. There are a lot of premolded features, so be sure to pick them out with weathering.
Cockpit is quite nice out of the box, plus we also have PE included. This is definitely a good reason to open the canopy.
Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin and cowling panels. Overall quality looks great, but nose section will require due care.
Last sprue carries wing parts. It is great to see wing mechanization molded separately here. External features look great for this scale.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and you can see pre-cut masks on the photo below.
Pre-painted PE fret should come handy for fine features in the cockpit. There is also glazing on the dials.
Brassin parts also come as standard bonus. Here you will get two types of exhaust stacks as well as landing gear wheels.
Both decals sheets are printed in Eduard, so quality looks great. Those are so-called Twin Decals, so you can use them for two models. Of course, second set of plastic will have to be bought separately as Overtrees.
There is also a segmentation which should make it easier to get the necessary set of decals.
Almost all markings can be seen on the photo below.
Here is the short recap of the main features of this kit.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New Limited Edition kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for all fans of American aircraft in this scale. Moreover, one box features some useful accessories which should make whole build even more impressive-looking. Don't forget about additional accessories from Eduard, which can be bought separately. These can make your fighter aircraft even more detailed and open some new areas. :)
