ICM 1/35 AH-1G Cobra Early (53030)

In this review we are going to take a look at ICM 1/35 AH-1G Cobra Early (53030). There are 226 parts which should assemble into a model with 459mm length. All this comes in one plastic bag, so let's open it and take a closer look together.

This frame comes in two pieces, and you will find various armament here. Overall molding quality looks great, so it is nice to have this thing included into standard package.

Main rotor blades should be glued out of two halves for each side. The same can be said about tail fin.

There are also two types of landing rails, but you will use only one for Early version. Note that bottom panel for the fuselage comes as single-piece part.

Fuselage halves can be found on the last frame. Both have guiding pins inside and nice external features. Yes, engine bay can be opened in order to expose the internals.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag. Overall molding quality looks great, and ICM provides masking template for those parts.

There is no mention on where those decals were printed, but overall quality looks great. Yes, there are also some cockpit decals, seatbelts will have to be bought separately though. You can see all five markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is standard for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is another decent model from ICM, and it might be interesting for modelers who would like to have helicopter in popular military scale. This size will allow them to combine the build with some vehicles, figurines or even diorama. Cobra also has great potential for additional upgrades, but this decision will be up to you.
