Miniart 1/24 D8506 German Tractor with Roof (24010)

This review is dedicated to Miniart 1/24 D8506 German Tractor with Roof (24010). It is easy to guess from the name that model continues line of tractors in car scale. Such unusual thing might be fun to build for a change from all those supercars we are used to see in such size. We reviewed previous versions, and it is interesting to see what is included here. Packaging is typical, so all frames come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with one of the largest frames here. It is similar to what we saw in the previous release, so you will find chassis parts as well as some external elements.

Small frame comes with driver seat and some of the drivetrain parts. Note that seat has throughout holes and you won't have to cut anything.

Front wheels will have to be glued out of five segments. This is a quite smart design which should look great in the finished state.

As you remember, today's version comes with roof, so new parts are placed on the separate frame. Overall division of those panels looks good, and roof has some details inside as well.

Interior should be easy to assemble as it consists out of few parts on the real vehicle too. Premolded details look great and deserve careful painting.

Front fenders are separate, just like on the real tractor. Note also rear guards which are molded together with support frames. Such design makes it easier to align elements together.

Rear wheels are also molded out of plastic. On the photo above you can see side parts which look great out of the box.

Middle sections are molded as single-piece parts, so there are no seams or gaps in such visible area.

Decals are printed in Cartograf. Overall quality looks great, and application should be easy as well.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches. Molding quality is nice, but there are no masks included here. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New tractor should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is as good as the previous releases. In one box you will get all necessary parts which will assemble into a nice copy of  D8532. Some modelers will be happy to get a bigger sized kit as it will be easier to handle and work on. Yes, there are no PE parts, but in my opinion premolded details look great too.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Good decals

Cons

  • No masks for clear parts
