Tamiya 1/35 Wespe Italian Front (358)

Today we are going to check closer Tamiya 1/35 Wespe Italian Front (358). Kit comes as yet another military vehicle from the famous Japanese brand. As you can notice in the name and boxart, this particular boxing is "focused" on Italian battlefields. Yes, there are figures supplied as well, so it might be a good starter for some diorama project. Packaging is typical for Tamiya, and all frames come in bags with staples. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with the lower section of the hull. This element is supplied as one-piece element what should make whole assembly a bit easier.

Suspension arms are molded separately. Here you can also find roadwheels and drive sprockets. There are also some minor features for the fighting compartment.

Yes, main barrel should be glued out of two halves. I would recommend to find metal replacement which would look way better.

Armor panels should be glued one by one. Overall quality looks great, you can also try to replicate some battle damage on those.

Top hull panel features some separate hatches. Keep in mind that there is no interior in the lower section, so it will be emptiness inside.

Plastic tracks should look great in the finished state. Just take your time and be careful with separate track links.

There are also traditional bonuses - textitle thread and decals sheet. Overall printing quality looks fine, but you can replicate some of those symbols with help of masks.

Separate frame is dedicated to figurine parts. Overall design is typical for this scale. Assembly manuals are printed in black-and-white. You can check all pages in the video-review.

Today's kit should be available for some time, and you will find it in any good model shop. In my opinion it is an interesting option for those who would like to get the vehicle and figures in the same package. The only option to consider - replacement of the main barrel as it looks bad in the standard form. Moreover, you might find some PE parts for even more features in your build.
