Eduard 1/72 Fw 190A-8/R2 Weekend (7430)

This time we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Fw 190A-8/R2 Weekend (7430). This kit might be familiar to some of you as it was released in several boxings and editions. Nevertheless, small scale "Wurger" still looks fine, so it is worth checking what is included in the Weekend release. Packaging is typical here, so you will get frames in several bags. Let's open the box and take a closer look together.

First frame is literally filled with various parts. Note that some are given in several versions, so it will be important to pay attention on which you need to use for own project.

Overall molding quality looks great even on the smallest parts here.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin. Here you will also find wing panels.

Flaps are premolded and can be modified with the special PE set which is sold separately. Inside you will find guiding elements which should help with assembly.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and you can open the canopy here. Masks are not included as we are checking Weekend Edition kit.

Both decals sheets are printed in Eduard. I like the quality and overall experience should be fine. You can check all pages of the manual in our video-review.

Small Fw 190 should be still available for purchase. In my opinion it is a decent choice for modelers who would like to build a nice copy of the famous aircraft. Of course, you can also get plenty of original accessories for this or that area of your model. It will cost extra, but the final result should be worth it. Plastic itself still looks great and will be easy to assemble. I might even recommend the model to beginners who would like to work with something a bit more sophisticated.
