Eduard 1/72 Fw 190A-8 Weekend Edition (7463)

This review is dedicated to Eduard 1/72 Fw 190A-8 Weekend Edition (7463). New release comes as yet another version and boxing of the famous German aircraft in small scale. As usual, Weekend Edition offers us a chance to get a nice plastic for a bit more affordable price. Yes, you won't get PE and masks, but some modelers are fine with such tradeoff. Well, we have commercial sample on the table, so it means you will get exactly the same parts. Let's open this box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another aircraft in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to mix of various parts. Here you will find several versions of the propeller, landing gear elements and even antennas for the night version which will stay untouched.

On the second frame you will get fuselage halves and wing parts. Note that flaps are premolded and you will have to get the special PE set for this. Both fuselage parts are molded together with tail fin.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included as you remember.

Both decals sheets are coming from Eduard, so you don't have to worry about quality issues. Moreover, you will get some interior decals too! All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New release is already available for purchase and you should be able to get it together with various original add-ons. In my opinion it is a great pick for those who don't want to spend more in order to get additional goodies in the box. Moreover, it might be great for a detailed project where you will decide what add-ons you actually need. In both cases final result should look great and assembly process will be fun.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.

  • Nice molding quality
