Eduard 1/48 Z-526AFS Akrobat Weekend Edition (84185)

This review is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 Z-526AFS Akrobat Weekend Edition (84185). As you can guess from the name, plastic kit copies Czech aircraft. Nevertheless, it comes as Weekend Edition, so you will be able to get it for more affordable price, but there are no masks or PE parts. Nevertheless, plastic still looks great, so it would be worth checking today. Let's open this nice box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Czech aircraft.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with wing and fuselage parts. Note that fuselage is molded together with tail fins. External features also look nice.

Next frame is literally filled with various panels and other things. Note that cowling should be glued out of several parts.

Today's version gets all the necessary parts for the cockpit and cowling on the third frame. Molding looks great, and there is no flash or other damage.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Of course, you can open canopy with those, but masks are not included.

Kit features three decals sheets and on the photo above you can see the biggest one. Printing quality looks great and there are even decals for the cockpit.

Two other sheets are smaller and feature various stencils for the aircraft. All marking options can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. You can get a nice plastic for a reasonable price, and it is great to see four markings in one box. As for the aftermarket, you will be able to choose what exactly you need for the build. Eduard has a great choice of various add-ons, so there definitely will be something useful.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Great decals

Cons

  • No masks included
