ICM 1/32 AH-1G Arctic Cobra (32063)

This review is dedicated to ICM 1/32 AH-1G Arctic Cobra (32063). Kit comes as yet another version of the big scale helicopter from Ukrainian model manufacturer. Note that this time we get a chance to copy aircraft which were based in Alaska. There are also few additional parts specific for this particular version. Packaging is typical, all frames come in the same resealable plastic bag. There are 241 parts which should assemble into a model with 442mm length. Let's open this box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with aircraft in smaller scale.

First frame is dedicated to fuselage halves. Those are molded without tail fin and nose section. Moreover, here you will find some of the cockpit parts.

External features look great. Here you can take a closer look at raised rivets.

Another sprue is dedicated to external equipment which should be installed on the helicopter. Note that Gatling gun should be glued out of several parts.

Lower fuselage panel can be found on the next sprue. It is nice to see such design because you won't have any seams in this area.

Cockpit parts look fine, but I would recommend to go for aftermarket PE as the whole cockpit will be visible on the finished model.

Just like in previous versions, here you will get several types of external equipment. There are various loadout schemes, so it should be easy to find the one suitable for your build.

Tail fin should be glued out of two halves. Moreover, the same applies to rotor blades. Molding quality looks great.

Note that these engine compartment hatches can be assembled in open position. It might be useful for some diorama projects.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and there is a masks template in the assembly manual.

Note also premolded features on clear parts.

Decals sheet is not that big, but somehow fits all the necessary symbols for three markings. Printing quality looks good here. As for the assembly manual, you can check all pages in the video-review.

New kit looks like an interesting version of the famous helicopter. In one box you will get all necessary parts for a great build in big scale. The only thing I can recommend - to check some aftermarket sets for even more features. In my opinion this model deserves PE at least in the cockpit. Of course, the final decision will be after you. ;)
