Arma Hobby 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat (70048)

This review is dedicated to Arma Hobby 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat (70048). New release comes as another version of the nice plastic kit from the famous Polish model manufacturer. It is still molded in small scale, but this time comes without PE or masks. Such version should be a bit cheaper, what might attract some modelers. Packaging is typical, all sprues come in one plastic bag. Let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with advanced version of this kit.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with the biggest plastic sprue. Here you will find fuselage halves and wing parts. Moreover, there are engine parts which look gorgeous and deserve careful painting.

Inside you will find guiding pins as well as some minor cockpit features. Cowling should be glued separately.

Next frame is smaller and you will find cockpit parts here. Note also several versions of the fuel tanks as well as nice landing gear parts.

Clear frame look great and you can copy the open cockpit with those parts. Note that kit doesn't feature masks, so they should be bought separately.

Decals sheet comes from Techmod, printing quality looks great. There are some cockpit decals, what might be enough for out of the box build. You can see both markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New Wildcat should be already available for purchase. Today's version might be good for modelers who would like to work with plastic only. Moreover, it might be also nice base for a detailed project if you want to buy all accessories by your own. I think it can turn into a great build with all standard parts and manufacturer managed to copy a lot of features. The only thing that might be tricky - small size of some parts. This is a 1/72 model, so it might be a bit difficult to work on for older modelers. :)
