This review will tell you more about Special Hobby 1/72 FH-1 Phantom (SH72335). Nice box brings us a plastic kit in popular scale, which should assemble into US jet aircraft. Manufacturer promises new markings on relatively recent plastic kit. Well, I've got one box on the table, so it will be interesting to open it and take a closer look together. Note that all frames come in one plastic bag.

First frame comes with wing parts. Overall design is classic for such kit. Note that flaps and ailerons are molded in.
Next sprue carries mix of parts. Here you will find cockpit elements as well as landing gear wheels and some other external bits. Molding quality looks fine.
Both fuselage halves are molded with tail fin and rudder. Yes, nose cone is also divided into two halves, so you will have to be careful in that area.
Canopy parts are packed into separate plastic bag. There are two parts, so you can open the cockpit on your model. Of course, kit doesn't feature any masks or templates.
Unpainted PE fret comes as a standard part of the new kit. It should be handy for fine details. Decals are printed in nice quality and will be easy to work with. As for the assembly manual, I show all pages in the video-review.
New aircraft is already available for purchase. In my opinion today's Phantom might be an interesting project for modelers who are ready to work with a bit more serious kit without guiding pins. Small scale should make it easier to assemble and paint. Moreover, there is plenty of room for some scratch-building, so I am sure that some of us would be happy to add more features.
Pros
- Good molding quality
- Nice decals
- PE included
Cons
- No masks for clear parts
