Eduard 1/48 Pfalz D.IIIa Weekend (8414)

Today we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Pfalz D.IIIa Weekend (8414). This is a fresh release from the famous Czech brand. Kit comes in new box and features more markings, just like any modern Weekend release. Boxart looks gorgeous, all markings are shown on one of the sides. Packaging is typical - all frames come in one bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.

Она поставялется в новой коробке и содержит больше вариантов окраски, как все обновлённые релизы серии Викенд. Боксарт красив, а камуфляжи показаны на одном из бортов. Упаковка типична - все рамки закрыты в один пакет. Давайте откроем их и рассмотрим всё поближе.

First frame is dedicated to fuselage halves and lower wings. Yes, there are two different versions of this element, so pay attention on which one should be installed in your marking. Tail fin is molded separately here and inside you will find some minor cockpit features.

Первая рамка выделена под половины фюзеляжа и нижние крылья. Да, здесь два варианта детали, так что будьте внимательны и используйте правильную версию. Киль отлит отдельно, а внутри фюзеляжа есть скромная проработка.

Last grey plastic sprue carries top wing and tail surfaces. Moreover, engine should look nice, just be sure to add some decent weathering because it will be visible on the finished model.

Крайний серый литник содержит верхнее крыло и хвостовое оперение. Более того, двигатель должен получиться довольно подробным и будет виден на собранной модели.

Landing gear wheels and pilot seat are molded as single-piece parts.

Колёса шасси и кресло пилота отлиты цельными деталями.

Clear parts come in form of film, which you will have to cut and install on your model.

Прозрачные детали даются в виде плёнки, которую нужно будет вырезать.

Kit features three (!!!) decals sheets. Main one is dedicated to all necessary main symbols. There are also some cockpit decals included.

В комплекте идут три (!!!) листа декалей. Основной выделен под главные символы. Здесь же есть несколько декалей для кабины.

Other two sheets feature lozenge and rib tapes. All four markings can be seen on the photo below.

New Pfalz should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get a decent plastic which should turn into a nice model with reasonable dimensions. This is not a new-tooled plastic and it is more than ten years old, but it still looks nice and should be interesting to assemble. Moreover, I liked what Eduard did with whole Weekend kit concept by adding more markings and including some cockpit decals. All these things should be enough to turn into a great WW1 build.

Всё это поможет вам собрать привлекательную модель в 48-ом масштабе.
