Miniart 1/35 Kfz.2 German Communications Car Type 170VK (35492)

This time I will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 Kfz.2 German Communications Car Type 170VK (35492). As you can guess, new set copies the military version of the Typ 170 car which is molded in popular scale. Communications modification is different due to additional equipment installed in the car. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.

First sprues carry mix of various parts. It is good to see the chassis actually molded as single-piece item. Note that bonnet panels can be positioned in open version.

New parts come on the separate plastic frame. Those should be easy to assemble, you just need to decide what will be useful to replicate the communications cable.

Engine parts and some other minor elements can be found on the next sprue. Overall quality looks great, but for some of those parts you will have to use tweezers.

Body panels are molded separately and should be easy to combine together thanks to guiding elements. All doors are molded as single-piece parts and can be opened if necessary.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Overall quality looks great, but there are no masks in this kit.

Miniart also supplies small unpainted PE fret which will be handy for some fine features on the model. Decals sheet is not that big, but printing quality looks great as it comes from Cartograf. On the photo below you can see marking options for the vehicle.

New car kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting change from the "base" version. It can be a great project both in some diorama and as solo subject. Overall quality looks great, even though small parts make this set recommended for modelers with experience. I would also suggest to find some figurines so that whole project will be even more realistic. :)
