Miniart 1/48 P-47N-1RE Basic Kit (48064)

This review is dedicated to Miniart 1/48 P-47N-1RE Basic Kit (48064). New aircraft kit comes as yet another version of the famous Thunderbolt. It is molded in popular scale and packs plenty of features. Yes, this is a so-called Basic Kit, what means that you won't get additional features or PE parts. Nevertheless, such a thing can be fine for some modelers, and you can also expect a lower price.

First we see large frame with wing mechanization and some parts for the cowling section. Smaller one is dedicated for propeller parts.

Next we see cockpit parts, and those are nicely detailed out of the box. It might be a bit challenge to pick out all small features, but final result should be worth it. Engine is also nice and deserves a nice paintwork.

External equipment is supplied on the separate frames, but all this stuff comes in the standard package.

Landing gear wheels come in several versions, so be sure to pick the right ones. Kit allows you to build the in-flight version, what is quite unusual for aircraft set.

Basic Kit from Miniart comes with wings without armament compartments. For some modelers this will not be a problem, especially for those who plan to build in-flight model.

Fuselage halves have their own frames. Both are molded with tail fins, but without cowling section. External features look great and suitable for this scale.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks in the kit, so I would recommend to find some aftermarket masks set.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about printing quality. Here you will find all necessary symbols for two marking options. There are even some decals for the cockpit too.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New Thunderbolt should be already available for purchase. In my opinion even this Basic Kit offers a lot of stuff which you won't find in other brands. Out of the box you can expect nicely detailed engine and cockpit, what is a must-have for this scale. Moreover, it is good to see that Miniart also gives a chance to build different assembly options, as this might be handy for some diorama ideas. Overall quality is great, and this one can be considered as one of the best P-47 on the market. :)
