Miniart 1/72 StuG III Ausf.G Late MIAG Prod. (72112)

This time we are going to talk about Miniart 1/72 StuG III Ausf.G Late MIAG Prod. (72112). Small scale kit comes as another addition in the lineup from the famous brand. Overall quality proved to be nice, and I even built one of them in the build-review. Well, now we are going to talk about another version in small scale. Packaging is typical for the brand, so all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open them and check together.
By the way, here you can read review with a bigger brother from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is filled with small parts, so be ready to work with tweezers here. Overall molding quality is great even on the thin parts.

Superstructure is separated into several panels and there is also a separate hatch. Drivetrain should be glued out of many parts, so whole process might be tedious a bit.

Plastic tracks are also nice to have here, but small track links are tricky to get into the right spot. :)

Lower hull section should be glued out of separate panels. Note that suspension arms are premolded and you will get the right alignment out of the box. Side shelves have some premolded tools.

Drive sprocket should be assembled out of two parts. Note that attachment points are placed between teeth.

All hatches are molded separately here, so it might be worth searching for some figurines in the same scale. I still wonder if Miniart will release their own versions.

Clear frame is not that big, but you get all necessary parts here.

Unpainted PE fret should be handy for some fine features on your model. Note that it also includes Schurzen which can be installed on some of the markings.

Cartograf decals sheet is nice in terms of quality. Here you will find all necessary symbols for four marking options. You can see them all on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Small StuG is already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who don't have space for the bigger kit, but still would like to have this vehicle in their collection. Overall quality looks great straight out of the box, and you get all necessary things in package. Yes, some things will require careful installation and even tweezers, but final result should be worth it.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Great decals from Cartograf
