In this article you will learn more about IBG Models 1/72 Type 89 Kou Late and Type 95 Ha-Go (72042). Yes, one box brings us two small tanks, both in the same scale. Such combo might be a good starter for some diorama ideas, so it might be worth checking what is supplied inside. Those models are also available as separate sets, but new release comes with new markings inside. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Type 89 kit in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
Let's start from the bonus - wooden cart. Yes, there are actually three items in one box, but I am not exactly sure on how this cart was used.
Here you can see the parts for the smaller tank. Overall design is quite clever and should help you deal with tiny scale. For example, tracks are molded as one-piece and should be easier to get in place.
Next are the parts for the bigger tank. Here IBG Models used a bit more sophisticated design, so be ready to work with tweezers a bit.
Hull has all hatches premolded, but at least on the turret they come as separate parts. Such design might be handy for some diorama ideas.
Floor panel comes as separate part with really nice rivetting on it. Note also separate track links - those will require due care during assembly.
Top hull section is molded as one-piece element. Yes, hatches are premolded, but at least such design should help you get a clean result.
Unpainted PE frets will be useful for both tanks. Don't underestimate those as the small size will require tweezers.
Decals sheet is not that big, but you get all necessary symbols for both tanks. All markings are shown on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New combo-set should be already available for purchase and I think it might be an attractive choice for the fans of this scale. One box will bring you several detailed kits, which should be fun to build. Moreover, you get all the necessary additions in the standard package, so it might be enough for a good diorama project. Overall quality looks fine, but remember about the scale of this set, as it is definitely not for modelers with bad eyesight.
