In this article I will show you more of ICM 1/35 ZiL-131 with Driver (35019). As the name suggests, one box will bring you several kits - truck and figurine in the same scale. Overall idea sounds like a great start for diorama project in 1/35 scale. Packaging is typical for ICM, so all parts come in resealable plastic bag. There are 230 and 15 parts for assembly of the model. Finished truck will 212mm length. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another ZiL version from ICM.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame is dedicated to mix of parts - from chassis bars up to the suspension and engine. All of them look great and worth spending some time painting and weathering.
Amount of small parts is actually impressive here. Pay attention to the manual as some of those will not be used in today's version of the kit.
Headlamp protectors, exhaust and some other minor parts come on the next sprue. Overall quality looks fine and should be easy to work with.
Rear section should be glued out of separate panels. Even though doors are separate here, interior will be empty.
Plastic wheel rims look good and should be glued out of several parts. It might be a good idea to paint and weather them a bit before installing into tires.
Rear section would also have windows, so it might be worth placing at least something inside for added visual interest.
Front cab should be glued out of separate panels. Doors and bonnet are separate here, and such thing might be handy for some diorama ideas.
Kit features two clear frames. First one is dedicated to the rear box, while second come handy for the front cab.
There are no masks or masking templates in this kit, so you will have to do everything on your own.
Vinyl tires look fine for the standard build. If you would like to have something more sophisticated, I would recommend to get resin wheels.
Decals sheet is not that big here, but you will get digital camouflage on it. The smaller one will be used for cab symbols, dials and licence plates.
Figurine parts come on the separate frame. Overall design is typical for driver in this scale.
There is only one marking option in the kit. Assembly manual is standard for the brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.
New truck should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a nice combo for those modelers who would like to get vehicle and suitable figurine in one box. Overall quality looks great, and there are few things that are actually worth exchanging. Yes, there is plenty of aftermarket stuff available, but final decision is after you. I think that even standard build has all chances to become and interesting project.
