Miniart 1/35 Sd.Kfz.234/4 (35427)

This review is dedicated to Miniart 1/35 Sd.Kfz.234/4 (35427). New release comes as yet another version of the 8-wheeler in popular scale. As you can notice on the boxart, this time it is a different turret with even bigger gun. Moreover, it is an Interior Kit, so you will get nicely detailed internals as well. Overall packaging is typical for Miniart, and there is no parts count on the box. Let's open the plastic bags and take a closer look at plastic parts.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version of this vehicle.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is one of the biggest in the kit. Here you can see some of the engine parts as well as interior bits. Engine can be also improved by adding wiring.

Each wheel should be assembled out of two halves. There are nice features on the tire walls as well, but not replication of the weight effect. Note also parts for the fighting compartment.

New main gun and turret parts can be seen here. Even though barrel is not metal, it is still one-piece element, what should influence the overall quality.

Just like any other German vehicle, this one has sophisticated suspension. Miniart carefully copied it, so be ready to repeat the same assembly several times. :)

Top hull section is molded as one-piece, but all hatches are separate here. Such thing might be handy for some diorama ideas.

Spare wheel still supplied in two variants. Here you can also see front bar, some of the separate panels and pioneer tools.

Size of some parts might be tricky for modelers with bad eyesight, so be sure to have tweezers. Otherwise quality looks excellent and should be fun to work with.

Miniart even supplies jerry cans which can be placed on the vehicle.

Hull and floor panels have a lot of premolded features, so be ready to pick them out with weathering. There are also guiding elements which should help you with alignment.

PE fret is packed into a separate envelope. Here you will find bits for both internal and external features of your vehicle.

Clear frame is sealed together with decals sheet. Molding quality is great, but there are no masks supplied in the kit.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols there. Overall printing quality looks great as it comes from Cartograf. You can see all options on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New vehicle should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great addition to the new-tooled Puma from Miniart. Moreover, it packs full interior which should look impressive once assembled. I know, some modelers will complain that it is too much work for something what will not be fully visible, but in my opinion it should be worth it. Moreover, all those separate hatches will be handy to expose what is hidden inside. Of course, you can also use this feature for figurines placement in your model. :)
