ICM 1/35 Danger! Mines! (35018)

This article is dedicated to ICM 1/35 Danger! Mines! (35018). Set comes as combo-release from the well-known brand. It is molded in popular scale and copies truck with figurines and even dog is included here. All this sounds like an interesting combo for diorama build. Overall packaging is typical, so all frames are packed into several bags. In total there are 230 parts for ZiL-131 and 48 parts for mines with 60 parts for figures and dog. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frame is dedicated to truck parts. Here you will find main chassis bars as well as engine and fuel tanks.

Wheel rims are molded separately. Such design might come handy for a nice paintwork on your model.

Rear section should be glued out of separate panels. Overall design is quite smart, so no worries about any possible issues with alignment.

Kit is full of thin parts, so be careful with those. Moreover, it might be a good idea to copy some wiring too.

Front cab should be glued out of separate panels. Doors are separate too and can be opened if necessary.

Yes, truck still features vinyl tires. Those look okay for standard build, but I would recommend to find aftermarket replacement for even more impressive look.

Clear parts are packed into a separate plastic bag, so they won't be scratched or damaged. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.

Next we see frame with figurines and yes, dog is also there. It is divided into two halves, so you will have to carefully join and sand them to look flush.

Kit also features mines and some equipment in the same scale. All those items should be useful for diorama project.

There is no mention on where decals were printed, but their quality looks good. Digital camouflage sheet should help you get nice finish without the need to mask whole truck. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to get all necessary items in one box. Moreover, quality looks great, so you just need to assemble the vehicle and figures and put them on some base. I am not sure what else could be added, maybe some resin wheels for truck in case you would like to have even more convincing look. Another thing can be insignia for soldiers, but it looks like ICM will release separate set quite soon.
