Arma Hobby 1/48 Hurricane Mk.IIc Trop (40005)

This article will tell you more about Arma Hobby 1/48 Hurricane Mk.IIc Trop (40005). New release comes as yet another version of the famous British fighter aircraft. As you can guess, we can copy tropical variant in popular scale. Today's boxing features plastic parts and masks, and that should be enough for a nice build. Moreover, kit proved to be really nice in previous versions, so it will be interesting to see what is packed inside this time.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version of Huricane in the same scale.

Watch this review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to fuselage halves and various external armament. Note that cowling covers are premolded, so you will have to be careful in that area.

Next frame is a bit more busy with mix of various parts. Note the cockpit walls right in the middle as well as weighted landing gear wheels. Instrument panel also looks great and will be combined with decals.

Wing halves are placed on the last grey plastic sprue. Note that ailerons and flaps are premolded, so you will have to get some aftermarket for separate flaps. External details include recessed panel lines and rivets.

Arma Hobby added quite developed internal structure for improved rigidity of this section of the aircraft. It should be easy to get those parts together, so no worries about that.

Clear frame looks great out of the box. Of course, you will be able to assemble aircraft with open cockpit if necessary.

Masks sheet can be considered as nice and valuable bonus which will come handy during assembly. Those are pre-cut stickers which are ready to be used straightaway.

Decals are printed in Techmod, so you shouldn't worry about printing quality. Note that there are also decals for the cockpit. All three markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available in all good model shops. In my opinion this model is as nice as the previous versions, and even out-of-the-box build would look great in finished state. Of course, there is also a great potential for aftermarket upgrades, but it will be more of a question to you. I like what we get in the standard plastic and I think it might be considered as one of the best Hurricanes in 1/48 scale.
