ICM 1/32 Normandie-Niemen (32092)

This review is dedicated to ICM 1/32 Normandie-Niemen (32092). We already reviewed big scale Soviet fighter aircraft in several versions, but now we have a combo-set with pilot figurine inside. Such thing might be interesting for a bit more sophisticated project. Packaging is typical, all frames come in several plastic bags. There are 171 parts for Yak-9T and 10 parts for the pilot. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another aircraft from WW2.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with large frame which carries mix of various parts. Here you will find engine, one-piece propeller as well as tail surfaces and wing mechanization.

Cockpit parts can be found on the next sprue. Note also large canon which should be glued out of two halves.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin. Note that the top cowling panel comes as separate part and can be left off if you choose to expose the engine.

Pilot figurine is similar to what we are used to see in 1/35 scale from ICM. Torso should be glued out of two halves.

All the minor parts come on the separate frame. I have to note that this kit offers a lot of things out of the box, so it might be a good idea to get PE for even more features.

Wing is divided into three parts. Note that flaps are premolded, while ailerons are separate here.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and ICM included masking template in the manual.

Decals sheet is not that big as we get the symbols for one marking only. You can see it on the boxart and the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

Combo-set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting release for modelers who missed previous versions and would like to have pilot figurine in the box. Moreover, all parts still look good and it is nice to see the engine included here. The only thing I can recommend is to get some aftermarket PE for even more features as such addition will be noticeable in 1/32 scale. :)
