Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.VIII Weekend (84159)

This article is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.VIII Weekend (84159). As you can guess, this set offers us a chance to build the famous British aircraft in popular scale. Moreover, you will find only plastic parts and decals here, what might be enough for some modelers. Note that this packaging is finished in old styling with blue color and two markings inside. Plastic is packed into several bags. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another British aircraft in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to various minor internal and external parts. Note also cockpit walls in the top area.

Some parts are supplied in several versions, so be sure to pick the right one for your marking. This is important thing where you will have to be careful.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin. Top cowling cover should be glued out of two halves.

Last grey frame features wing parts. For retracted flaps you will have to buy a PE set from Eduard.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included as we deal with Weekend Edition kit.

Both decals sheets are printed in Eduard, so you don't have to worry about printing quality. You can see markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Today's kit should be already available. As usual, it might be a good choice for those who would like to get plastic without any extras. It might be also nice pick as the base for a more detailed project with additional accessories. Eduard produces a whole line of various items, so you will definitely find something suitable for your model.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.
