Eduard 1/48 Bf 109G-10 WNF/Diana Weekend (84182)

Today we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Bf 109G-10 WNF/Diana Weekend (84182). Well, aircraft doesn't need an extra introduction. In my opinion Weekend kits are always good for modelers who are a bit tight with money but still want to try high quality plastic. Moreover, now Eduard packs more markings in the box, so you have better choice. Packaging is typical here, so let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Profipack from the same brand.

Check out this kit in our video-review.

First frame is dedicated to fuselage halves, both are molded without tail fin. Attachment points are thin, so it will be easy to separate the parts.

Wing parts are separate here. Overall design is typical, but note that mechanization comes as separate parts too.

Next frame is a bit bigger and carries mix of various parts. Molding quality looks great, you have to be careful in order to pick the right part for your build.

Cockpit parts can be found on the last sprue. Don't forget that some elements can be upgraded with resin made by Eduard.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and you can open canopy on your model. There are no masks as we are checking Weekend kit today.

Kit features three decals sheets, what is rather surprising for Weekend kit. Well, Eduard included several types of stencils as you can copy one Czech marking. All four options can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New aircraft model should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to get nice plastic, but don't want to pay more for accessories inside. Moreover, with Weekend kit, you will be able to pick the accessories you want to see on your model. Who knows, maybe you would like to get resin cockpit instead of just PE parts. :) Markings choice also looks nice and should look great in the finished state.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Great decals

Cons

  • No masks for clear parts
