ICM 1/35 10.5cm leFH 16(Sf) auf Geschutzwagen FCM36(f) (35340)

This review is dedicated to ICM 1/35 10.5cm leFH 16(Sf) auf Geschutzwagen FCM36(f) (35340). As you can guess from the name, model copies German howitzer which was based on French armor. Original kit proved to be an interesting model to work on, and now we have completely different vehicle. Packaging is typical for this brand, all parts come in one resealable plastic bag. There are 295 parts which should assemble into a model with 161mm length. Let's open the box and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with identical sprues which carry ammo load. Molding quality looks fine, but the assembly procedure will take some time for sure. :D

ICM also didn't skip on drivetrain features, so you get nicely detailed suspension with all things out of the box. Note that there are no painting masks for rubber sections here.

Lower half should be glued out of separate panels. Whole design is quite smart, and there are guiding elements inside.

Don't forget that we deal with howitzer here and fighting compartment will be visible on the finished vehicle. It might be a good chance to play with weathering.

Note that some hatches are premolded and it is not possible to open them on the model. In my opinion it is not a big issue as there is no interior or engine in this kit.

Just like original kit, this one comes with vinyl tracks, so be ready to work with such parts.

There is also a tiny clear sprue with several parts. Decals look great and should be easy to work with. You can check all markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for ICM. I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit comes as yet another great kit from the famous brand. In my opinion it might be a nice chance to assemble something different from all those typical subjects we are used to see in 1/35 scale. Moreover, manufacturer didn't skip on features, and it is good to get a lot of things copied out of the box. Just find some suitable figures and you will have a nice build in popular scale.
