Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Story: The Sweeps (11153)

Today's article is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Story: The Sweeps (11153). This kit continues series of releases with Spitfire models inside. As you can notice, newcomer features two Spitfire Mk.Vb models as it is a Dual Combo set. Moreover, there will be interesting markings as well as some handy bonuses for your build. Main topic is the aircraft which were fighting over occupied Europe. Packaging is typical, so I suggest to open it and take a closer look at what is included inside.
By the way, here you can read review with great Profipack from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show parts even closer.

We are going to start with one of the biggest frames here. Modeler will find various landing gear parts as well as tailwings and ailerons.

Next we see cockpit parts as well as several types of propellers.

We also get several exhaust and propeller hub types. Overall molding quality looks clean even here.

There are several fuselage halves types included in one box. As you can see, parts division is typical for Spitfire.

Here you can take a look at both versions.

Wing should be assembled out of several parts. Note that flaps can be copied only with help of special PE set.

Kit features two decal sheets, both are printed in Eduard. On the photo above you can see stencils.

Bigger sheet features segmentation, what will make whole work a bit easier. Note that there are also some cockpit decals.

All markings can be seen on the photo above.

I would rather use PE which would give you a great result both inside and outside. Masks are also handy for a nice paintwork on your model.

Clear parts look good and you can open the cockpit on your model. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. Nevertheless, this is a Limited Edition, so you should hurry if you want to get one. In one box you will get a decent package with two kits and all necessary accessories. In my opinion this is more than enough for a great project. Moreover, don't forget about original aftermarket goodies which would help you improve the build even more.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.
