Eduard 1/48 Bf 109E-7 Weekend (84178)

This article is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 Bf 109E-7 Weekend (84178). As you can guess, nice box brings nice model in the popular scale. Moreover, such version should feature attractive price and might be handy for modelers who don't need PE and masks. Packaging is standard for this brand, so let's open it and take a closer look at all parts.
By the way, here you can read review with Trener kit from the same brand.

Watch this video, where I show all parts closer.

We are going to start with the first frame which is dedicated to mix of various parts. Here you will find main wheel wells as well as tailwings and rudder.

Yes, here you can see engine parts and some of the cockpit elements. Moreover, you can expose the engine on the finished model, what is quite cool for this scale.

Next frame brings us fuselage halves. Both are molded with tail fin, but without cowling. Nose section actually comes as single-piece part which should be easy to remove.

Last grey frame is dedicated to wing parts. Overall design is quite typical and should be easy to work with.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks as we have Weekend Edition kit here.

Nevertheless, Eduard included PE fret for some minor features on the aircraft. This is quite unusual bonus for Weekend kits.

There are two decals sheets inside. Both are printed in Eduard, so you don't have to worry about printing quality. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. All pages are shown in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get well-known plastic with some bonuses for fine details. I see this kit as the perfect opportunity to build the famous fighter aircraft and have it in a quite interesting marking. Moreover, E-version gives you a chance to have an engine open, what might be handy as well. Don't forget about the huge choice of original accessories from Eduard which should make the model even more detailed.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
