Miniart 1/35 German Gas Station (35598)

This review is dedicated to Miniart 1/35 German Gas Station (35598). Well, name says it all - one box will bring you interesting set for a diorama project in popular scale. This might be handy both for civil and military scene, so I decided to take a closer look. Packaging is typical for this brand, all frames are packed into the same plastic bag. Frankly speaking, amount of sprues is a bit surprising, so let's take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with tram kit.

On the first two frames you will find parts for fuel pumps. These can be assembled in open or closed version, what is nice to have out of the box.

Next we continue with various shelf parts. You can see it on the boxart as well.

Fuel drums are also here. These are typical and should be glued out of two halves, guiding pins will help you with alignment.

Small oil cans and various tools come on the separate frames. You can place them on the shelves, just like it is shown on the boxart.

Here you can see two last grey sprues. Molding quality looks good, but you will have to be careful with thin parts.

Clear parts will be handy for fuel pumps. Molding quality looks good, but there are no masks included.

Small PE fret carries some parts for fine features.

Decals sheet comes from Decograph, so printing quality looks fine. On the photo below you can see assembly manual.

Today's set should be a handy addition to the project in WW2 setting. It comes in popular scale and can be used both with civil or military vehicles. In my opinion such kit can be even separated into several parts or used just with figures. All in all we get another high-quality Miniart release for quite reasonable price. The only thing required from you - build some diorama base for all the things from today's kit.
You can get this and other new kits on official Modelimex webshop.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Great decals
  • PE included

Cons

  • Some figures might come handy
