Zvezda 1/48 Yak-130 Bomber (4818)

Our new article will be dedicated to Zvezda 1/48 Yak-130 Bomber (4818). This is a new version of the Russian aircraft in popular scale. This time you will get a chance to assemble Light Bomber and it should be an interesting build because manufacturer promises several assembly options inside. Packaging is typical here, all frames are separated into several plastic bags. There are 339 parts which should assemble into model with 24.5cm length. Let's open this box and check everything closer.
By the way, here you can read review with another recent Zvezda release.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with big frames. Here you can see various sections of the air intakes. There is also a one-piece cockpit tub in the upper right corner.

Model features a lot of small elements, so take your time and try not to lose any of those. Molding quality looks great and should be easy to work with.

Whole fuselage is separated into large panels according to panel lines on the aircraft, so it would look natural once you combine parts together. On the photo above you can see tail fins and wing parts.

Next we continue with smaller sprues. Here Zvezda placed various cockpit elements as well as landing gear parts.

Kit features two pilot figures which can be placed in the cockpit. It is nice to have such bonus in the original package.

Weapons choice looks nice out of the box, but there is no loadout scheme in the assembly manual. Moreover, some modelers might even choose to copy aircraft without any loadout under wings. :)

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and you can open canopy on your model. As usual, masks are not included.

Decals sheet looks great and features segmentation for ease of use. Marking guide is printed in color and carries schemes for four options.

You can also see pictures of the finished model on the rear side of the box.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New Yak should be available already. In my opinion it looks like a good choice for modelers who would like to assemble modern Russian aircraft in popular scale. Even out-of-the-box kit offers nice details and several assembly options. You can also get some aftermarket for even more impressive result. By the way, you might notice model stand in the video and on the assembly manual. Well, this thing should be bought separately in case you would like to copy your aircraft with retracted landing gear. :)
THANK YOU FOR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!!!
