This time we have a chance to check Eduard 1/48 Bf 109G-6 Weekend (84173). This is a fresh iteration of the famous German fighter aircraft in popular scale. It comes in a bit more affordable boxing which might be interesting for modelers who would like to build nice model. You don't get PE and masks, but these can be bought separately or you can "jump" straight to resin accessories from the same brand. Boxing style is typical for this brand, so let's open it and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with one of the biggest frames here. It is dedicated to various external elements such as tailwings, fuel tanks and wing mechanization.

Мы начнём с одной из самых крупных рамок. Она выделена под различные внешние элементы, такие как стабилизаторы, баки и механизация крыла.

On the next sprue you will find cockpit floor, landing gear wheel tires and several propellers. Molding quality looks great, and you can replace whole cabin with Brassin set.

На следующем литнике вы можете видеть пол кабины, колёса шасси и несколько винтов. Качество литья отличное, а целую кабину можно заменить на набор Брассин.

Fuselage halves come on the separate frame. Both are molded without tail fin and top cowling cover. External features include recessed panel lines and rivets. Inside you will find minor cockpit features and some guiding elements.

Половины фюзеляжа отлиты на отдельной рамке. Обе выполнены без киля и крышки капота. Внешняя проработка включает внутреннюю расшивку и клёпку. Внутри вы найдёте небольшую проработку кабины и направляющие.

Wing parts design is something what you would expect from Bf 109G-6 kit, but there are several surprises. First of all, wing edges would serve as guiding elements. Second thing to remember - all wing mechanization parts are molded separately.

Членение крыла типично для "мессера", но есть несколько особенностей. К примеру, края крыла помогут при стыковке деталей. Во-вторых, вся механизация отлита отдельно.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks because we have Weekend kit here. :)

Прозрачная рамка упакована в отдельный пакет чтобы избежать царапин. Качество литья отличное, но масок нет, так как это Викендовый набор. :)

Kit features two decals sheets. The biggest one is dedicated to main symbols for four marking options. Note that there is a segmentation and cockpit decals. The smaller sheet carries stencils for the model. All four markings can be seen on the photo below.

Набор содержит два листа декалей. Самый крупный выделен под основные символы для четырёх вариантов окраски. Обратите внимание, что имеется сегментация и декали для кабины. Меньший лист содержит "техничку". Все четыре варианта показаны ниже.

New Bf 109 should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get nice plastic together with good choice of markings and even cockpit decals. All this means that you can build a nice model even without using any additional accessories. Nevertheless, it might be a bit hard to stay from buying some of these nice resin add-ons made by Eduard. Well, I would recommend to get them in case you have extra cash which you are willing to invest into your model. This will bring a noticeable improvement in the model detailing. :)

Новый "сто-девятый" уже доступен в продаже. В одной коробке вы получите аккуратный пластик вместе с неплохим выбором камуфляжей и даже декалями для кабины. Всё это означает, что вы сможете собрать инетерсную модель даже без дополнений. Тем не менее, будет сложно удержаться от покупки смолы выпущенной Эдуардом. Я бы рекомендовал докупить её если у вас есть свободные деньги, которые вы готовы "инвестировать" в модель. Это принесёт заметную разницу и даст вам лучше проработанную модель. :)
