This review will tell you more about ICM 1/48 Churchill's Flying Suitcase (48354). New release comes as yet another version of the well-known British bomber aircraft in popular scale. I reviewed the previous releases, so it will be interesting to see what is new here. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are packed into several bags. It is a bit tight inside the box, so be careful with the whole thing. There are 462 parts in total, and they should assemble into a model with 442mm wingspan. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Hampden in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First is the sprue with left wing. Overall design is rather straightforward, so you get to join two halves and separate mechanization.
Armament is also supplied by ICM. You will have a choice out of several types, and can pick whatever suits your project.
Two fuselage halves come on the next frame. Those are quite large parts, but there are guiding elements inside which should help with alignment.
Yes, there are also some interior features here. I am not sure how those will be visible on the finished model, but maybe you will have some ideas.
Instrument panels has premolded dials and should look fine on the finished build. Note also that there are a lot of thin and small parts.
Another wing can be found on the next sprue. External features look great for this scale and deserve a good weathering done.
ICM includes both engines in the kit. Those are quite detailed powerplants, so it might be a good idea to open one of them on the finished build.
Tailwing should be also glued out of two halves. Here you can also see some of the internal panels for the aircraft.
Clear frames are packed into two separate bags. Overall molding quality is just great on both.
ICM also provides masking template for all transparent areas, and this is definitely a great thing for such an aircraft.
Decals sheet is not that big, but somehow has all the necessary symbols. Printing quality looks great, and there are even some decals for the cockpit. All four markings can be seen on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New bomber should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to have the famous aircraft in their collection. Overall quality looks fine out of the box, so even the standard project should look great. There is also no doubt that we might see some additional items from aftermarket brands, but be ready that those will cost you extra money. :)
