This review will tell you more about Zvezda 1/35 GAZ-66 (3707). Kit comes as new-tooled plastic in popular scale. Such a thing should be handy both as solo project and diorama addition. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in separate plastic bags. There are 367 parts which should assemble into a model with 16.2cm length. This doesn't sound too big for 1/35 scale truck, so let's open the box and check all parts together.
By the way, here you can read review with a bit more modern GAZ vehicle.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame comes with front cab panels. As you can guess, they are separated into several sections which should be combined together. It is nice to see separate doors, as they might be useful for figurine placement in diorama.
Front mask looks fine, but I would recommend to spend some time for proper paintwork on headlamps.
Rear section can be assembled in three versions, and here you can see some of the parts. Whole tarpauline is divided into several panels, so try to get the smooth join between those.
Kit even features engine and some suspension elements. Those should be visible even on the finished model, so try to spend some time on proper paintwork.
Surface details look great and deserve a good paintwork and weathering.
Wheel rims can be found on the next frame. You can also see there some of the suspension bits.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.
Usually I am not huge fan of vinyl tires, and it is still the same here, but those parts at least look nice out of the box. Just note the features on the tire walls here.
Chrome stickers should be useful for rearview mirrors on your truck.
Decals sheet is not that big, but carries all necessary symbols for several options. Printing quality looks as good as in other Zvezda kits. You can see the marking guide on the photo below.
Rear side of the box also shows the painted and finished model together with history note.
Assembly manual is typical for Zvezda and comes in black-and-white format. I show all pages in the video-review.
New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting pick for those who would like to build a different version of the truck in popular scale. Moreover, molding quality looks great, and kit offers several assembly options. I don't think you will have any assembly problems, but it might be a good idea to get a model stand together with figurines.
