This time I am going to tell you more about Avonmore Books Pacific Profiles Vol.16. This series is relatively new for me, but there is already one review on the website. Whole idea here is quite simple and effective - to tell us more about aircraft with help of side profiles and photos. Printing format is softcover, and there are more than 100 pages inside. As you might have noticed, new book is fully dedicated to B-17 Flying Fortress. Let's open it and take a closer look at what is printed inside.

First we start with contents page. Here you can see that there are more than 20 chapters, and each one is dedicated to different squadrons.

As it was mentioned before, book is full of various photos with aircraft from different squadrons. Those shots might be useful for some build and weathering ideas.

As the name suggests, you will get plenty of various profiles. Those are printed in color and should be easy to understand on what you have to do in order to copy one.

Each option is also accompanied with history note. Yes, those are not full-fledged marking profiles, but it should be enough for experienced modelers to have something different from standard kit markings.

New book is already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who don't want to go with standard options offered by model brands. Whole style is easy to read and understand, while some photos are published for the first time. Well, the same is said about profiles - as some aircraft were thoroughly analyzed and now authors give us color profiles to copy. As you can guess, scale of the model doesn't matter, this book will be equally handy in small or big project.
Новая книга уже доступна для покупки. На мой взгляд, это интересный выбор для моделистов, которые не хотят останавливаться на стандартных вариантах, предлагаемых производителями моделей. Стиль изложения легко читается и понимается, а некоторые фотографии публикуются впервые. То же самое можно сказать и о профилях – некоторые самолеты были тщательно проанализированы, и теперь авторы предлагают нам цветные профили для копирования. Как вы можете догадаться, масштаб модели не имеет значения, эта книга будет одинаково полезна как в малом, так и в большом проекте.
