This article is dedicated to Zvezda 1/48 Mi-35M (4813). New kit continues line of the huge helicopters from the famous model manufacturer. One box will give you a chance to copy the modern type with all necessary features. Moreover, Zvezda promises several assembly options as well as some notable features out of the box. In total there are 373 parts which should assemble into a model with 37.3cm length. Packaging is typical, so let's open it and take a look at all parts.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous Mi-24P from the same brand.

We are going to start with armament sprue. Here you will find external fuel tanks, rocket launchers and some missiles.
Next we see rotor blades and some parts for them. Note that blades come with a sag, what should be handy to copy aircraft in parked position.
Each wing should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding pins inside, so whole procedure should be easy and quick.
Both fuselage halves are molded together with the tail fin. External features include recessed panel lines and rivets.
As you remember, it is possible to open transport compartment and the cockpit on this helicopter. That explains why there are so many internal parts in the kit.
Nose section will have to be glued out of several panels. Be careful during this step as all panels should connect seamlessly.
Last grey plastic sprue is dedicated to engine parts. Those can be also exposed on the finished model by opening the hatches.
Kit features two decals sheets. Printing quality looks great and there are three markings in the set.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included for them. I would recommend to get pre-cut set from Eduard.
On the rear side of the box you will find pictures of the finished model and history note. Assembly manual and marking guide are show in the video-review.
Today's kit comes as yet another impressive model from Zvezda. In my opinion it should turn into an interesting project, but this is definitely not the right choice for beginners. Model's size definitely requires some experience. Moreover, there are plenty of spots which can be enhanced with aftermarket, so professionals will be able to get even more. The only thing that you should remember - this model will need almost half a meter of space on your shelf. ;)
