ICM 1/48 BQM-34A(Q-2C) Firebee (48403)

Today we have a chance to talk about ICM 1/48 BQM-34A(Q-2C) Firebee (48403). This is yet another version of US drone aircraft in popular scale. Surprising thing is that kit features parts for two separate models, what might be handy for some modelers. There are 38 parts inside which should assemble into two models with 146mm length. Packaging is typical, all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open this box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with big helicopter kit from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show parts closer.

All parts for one model fit on one frame. Here you can see them all. Overall design looks typical for such kit and I don't think you will encounter some serious issues.

There are guiding pins inside which should help you with alignment. Note that nose cone is premolded on both halves. By the way, this time both aircraft include pylons for attachment.

Decals sheet is not that big, moreover, each model has its own, so you can replicate two identical camouflages. Assembly manual is typical for this brand and I show all pages in the video-review.

New Firebee should be already out and available for purchase. In my opinion this is a decent choice for modelers who would like to assemble something unusual. You should keep in mind that some areas will require due care and this is definitely not the right choice for beginners. From the other point of view, you can assemble two complete models and this will be a good sell point. I hope ICM will start mentioning such fact in a bit more prominent way so that it will be easier to find such kits.
