Miniart 1/48 Fw 190D-11 Basic Kit (48072)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 Fw 190D-11 Basic Kit (48072). New aircraft release copies yet another version of the famous German aircraft. It is still molded in popular scale and should be interesting for all fans of WW2 aviation. I reviewed the previous releases, so it will be interesting to see what is new here. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with the biggest frame here which is dedicated to mix of parts. On the lower part of photo you can see fuel tanks, some parts for wheel wells and new panels for D-11 version.

Wing parts come on the separate frames, but overall design is still the same - two top panels and one bottom parts. External features look great, you just need to bring them out with paintwork.

One-piece propeller looks fine out of the box. The only thing to mention is the attachment points on the blades. Another frame might look familiar as it was present in previous versions too.

Fuselage halves are also molded on separate frames. Whole design is done in such a way so that you have less gaps or seams between parts, and this is quite smart thing overall.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about any quality issues. There are even some cockpit decals too. All three options can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New aircraft model kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great continuation of German fighters lineup. If you've missed the previous releases, then this one might be an interesting thing to work on. Moreover, don't be discouraged by "Basic Kit" writing, as there are plenty of features in the standard plastic. Model design is done on the top level and fitment should be good too, so you just have to decide on the marking option.
