Miniart 1/48 P-47N-1RE Advanced Kit (48062)

In this article I will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 P-47N-1RE Advanced Kit (48062). New release comes as yet another version of the famous US aircraft. It is still molded in popular scale and should be interesting for modelers who would like to have more features out of the box. Advanced Kit means that we can expect additional markings as well as some new plastic and PE parts. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another version from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to wing mechanization and tailwings. Note also propeller blades which are molded separately and should be combined together.

Just like the previous releases, this one features external equipment. Follow the loadout scheme in the manual, and you will have a nice result.

Nicely detailed engine is another strong point of today's set. Note that cowling is separated into several sections which follow panel lines.

Cockpit should be glued out of separate panels too, but there are a lot of premolded features. These will require some careful paintwork with a brush.

Landing gear wheels and legs are provided in several options. Overall molding quality looks great and I didn't find any issues with the parts.

Each wing should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding elements which will help you with alignment.

Two fuselage halves come on their own frames. Both are molded with tail fin and also feature generous panel lines and rivets.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag. Molding quality is great, but there are no masks included.

Unpainted PE fret should come handy for some fine features on your build.

Decals sheet comes from Cartograf, so printing quality looks great. There are even some decals for the cockpit included. All three options can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New Thunderbolt from Miniart should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to have a detailed copy of this famous aircraft. Whole package looks detailed enough for out-of-the-box build, but there is also no problem to find more upgrades. I like that manufacturer gives a choice between several assembly options as this is something what might be handy for different build ideas.
