Meng 1/300 Harkonnen Ornithopter (MMS-014)

This review will tell you more about Meng 1/300 Harkonnen Ornithopter (MMS-014). Kit comes as yet another release from the famous fantasy universe. It is molded in small scale and should fit on any shelf. Moreover, it might be even interesting for younger modelers as there are not that many things to get together. I already reviewed Atreides version, so it will be interesting to see what is new here. Overall packaging is the same, let's open it and take a closer look together.

Parts come in dark green color, and on the first sprue you can see landing gear.

Model stand is also included here. It should be useful for displaying the finished model.

All four wings can be found on the next frame. Molding quality looks great, so it might be worth playing with paintwork on those.

Fuselage should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding elements which will help you with the task.

Nose section is molded separately, just as the tail part. Such design should be handy to avoid unnecessary gaps on your model.

There are no clear parts, so you will use decals for the canopy. It might be a good idea to close those with gloss varnish. Assembly manual is printed on the rear side of the box.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to replicate this unusual subject without spending huge amount of money. Overall quality looks great and it can be a nice pick even for beginners. The only thing that could be good to see is the clear sprue, but I guess it was omitted to keep the price reasonable.
