Meng 1/1000 Spice Harvester (MMS-013)

In this article I will tell you more about Meng 1/1000 Spice Harvester (MMS-013). Kit is not exactly fresh, but I finally got a chance to check it here on my table. As the boxart suggests, vehicle comes from the famous Dune universe and might be interesting for modelers who are limited in the space available. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in one plastic bag. Let's open it and take a closer look at all parts there.

All sprues are molded in dark green color, and on the first one you will find plenty of track parts. All of them will have to be combined with side walls which can be seen on the photo below.

It is interesting to see large elements molded as one-piece parts with guiding elements. Those should be easy to combine, just be sure to check what should be painted in advance.

Main hull is quite generous in terms of surface features. Just like the actual prototype, here you have plenty of things premolded on the top panel.

It might be good to check others projects as well as the movie shots in order to understand how to paint your model. :)

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols here. Assembly manual is printed on the rear side of the box.

Today's kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to build something different and don't have a lot of free space. Moreover, this harvester can be a good candidate for some diorama build as long as you are able to copy the sand in convincing way.
