DeAgostini 1/8 DeLorean DMC-12 Back to the Future (Issue 3,4 and 5) Build Review

In this report I will tell you more about another series of steps for a big DeLorean from DeAgostini. The whole kit is released by parts, so I will be posting such articles from time to time, and today's one covers several magazine issues at once. For me it was interesting to see how the wheels will be designed as well as some other special parts in those sets.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous two issues.

Watch this video where I show even more details of the process.

Large tires are vinyl and feature a nice print on the walls. Material is soft, and should be okay for the standard project. I guess more demanding modelers might add a bit of dust here.

Whole wheel assembly doesn't take a lot of time, but final result looks impressive. Plastic hubcap can be left aside if you will manage not to lose it. :D Note that whole wheel rim is actually a metal part.

Today's magazines also feature a reactor, which should be moveable and assembles out of several parts. They are prepainted, so you won't have to do some extra actions.

Those two white parts are easy to connect, but I would recommend to use a bit of glue for even finer result. Note that writings are already applied on the surface.

Suspension is actually a metal subassembly, so each side has a noticeable weight to it. Here you will have to use a real sprig, what will require some hand pressure to get everything in place.

Brake discs also have magnets, but I would recommend to "charge" those to have a stronger power. They will have to hold each wheel and retract into flying position if necessary.

Today's three magazine issues are quite fun as they give a chance to build several large subassemblies. I am still impressed that the biggest share of parts are real metal ones, as this will give you quite hefty final result. Let's see what will be supplied in the next magazines, and how it will be combined together with what was assembled this time.
Stay tuned for more reports to come in the future.
