ICM 1/35 Drone Hunters (DS3531)

Today I will tell you more about ICM 1/35 Drone Hunters (DS3531). New kit comes as combo-release from the famous brand. In one box you will get vehicle and figurines, which can be built into a diorama scene in popular scale. Overall packaging is typical so frames are packed into several plastic bags. There are 171 parts for Humvee, 20 parts for DShKM with support and 130 parts for three figurines. Assembled vehicle will be 138mm long. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

First frame comes with parts for weapons and the machine gun which will be placed in the back of the car. Overall parts division looks fine and should be easy to work with.

Two figurines can be found on the next sprue. All poses are predefined here, but I guess it is expected from plastic figurines in this scale.

DShKM itself comes on its own frame. I like that main section is molded as one-piece part and won't require any additional minor bits.

ICM also supplies full selection of various weapons which can be combined with soldiers. As you can guess, some of those will go into your spare parts box.

One more guy comes on his own frame. I like how sculpting is done here as it looks quite convincing and deserves a nice paintwork.

Kit is full of small and thin parts, so be ready to carefully separate those bits off the frame. Overall molding quality looks fine out of the box.

Floor panel and bonnet can be found on the next frame. Note that side panels are molded separately and should be joined with the assembly.

Main chassis comes as one-piece element, what should make the alignment of the parts easier and quicker. Here you can also see windscreen which is molded together with mirror supports.

All canvas parts are placed on the separate sprue. Those will be needed for replicating the closed version of the Humvee.

Last grey sprue comes in two, and features seats as well as some suspension parts. I recommend to think on how to enhance the interior as it will be visible on the finished model.

Vinyl tires come as standard bonus here. These items should be okay for the standard project, but for something more sophisticated I would recommend getting 3D printed aftermarket.

As usual, ICM packs clear parts into separate bags. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols here. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

New combo-release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great opportunity to build a bit more advanced project straight out of the box. You won't have to search for figurines or additional equipment, and instead can focus on detailing your model. Overall quality looks great, so it is just matter of deciding what marking option you would like to see on your model.
