Today I am going to tell you more about ICM 1/32 Hs 123A-1 (32014). Kit copies German biplane in large scale, and I reviewed the previous versions. New one comes with some interesting markings inside, and it will be also good to check what are the assembly options for this Henschel. Packaging is typical for ICM, so all parts come in one plastic bag. There are 220 parts which should assemble into a model with 330mm wingspan. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with useful book about this aircraft type.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame will surprise you with nicely detailed engine. It is included in the standard package and should be visible even on the finished model with closed cowling.
Landing gear also looks decent. ICM provides choice of various weapons, but check your references, so that you have a proper combo.
Engine and cockpit should be nicely detailed out of the box. It might be a good idea to spend some time on weathering and paintwork.
Control surfaces and tailwings should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding elements inside which will help you with this task.
Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin. Top cowling section is a one-piece part, what should be useful for a nice look of the finished model.
Lower wing should be glued out of three parts. All those panels will be aligned with help of pins inside.
Top wing should be glued out of two halves, and ailerons are separate. Such design is standard for biplanes.
Clear frame is packed separately to avoid any possible damage. Moulding quality looks great, and there are masking templates supplied in the assembly manual.
Kit features two decals sheets. First one is dedicated to main symbols and looks great.
Second one carries only white elements of the camouflage for one of the markings. I think some experienced modelers can copy it with masks. On the photo below you can see all three markings.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New biplane should be already available for purchase. In my opinion ICM did a great job here, and whole set looks like a solid offer in large scale. It is more of a kit for experienced modelers, but final result will definitely look great. Moreover, I like the fact that standard plastic carries a lot of features which are usually sold separately by other brands. This will give you some space to experiment with various finishes and maybe even assembly options.
