ICM 1/32 Hs 123A-1 late (32015)

This time I am going to tell you more about ICM 1/32 Hs 123A-1 late (32015). New kit comes as yet another version of the German biplane in large scale. Plastic itself is relatively new and should be interesting for all fans of WW2 aircraft. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so all parts come in one plastic bag. There are 201 parts which should assemble into aircraft with 330mm wingspan. Such size doesn't sound too big for the given scale, so let's open the box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Legion Condor version.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to the top wing halves. Note that ailerons are molded separately and we will see them on one of the next frames.

ICM was generous enough to include the nicely detailed engine in the standard package. Such a thing should be useful for a large scale build like this one.

Kit is also full of small parts, so be sure to have the right tools to install those into the necessary spots. Molding quality looks great on all of them.

Landing gear can be assembled in two versions - either with fairing or without it. Wheels look great, but I have no doubt that there will be aftermarket soon.

Here you can see ailerons which we mentioned above. Moreover, ICM placed here elevators, wing slats and rudder. There are guiding pins inside which will help you with alignment of those parts.

Bottom wing should be glued out of three panels. Overall design is the same in terms of external features, you just need to get everything together.

Fuselage halves look surprisingly compact for this scale, and both are molded together with tail fin. Top cowling panel comes as one-piece and such design should be easier to work with.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and ICM supplies masking template in the assembly manual.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols here. Overall printing quality looks fine, and all four markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New biplane should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get a nice plastic together with some good features. For this scale it should be enough to get a great result without spending more money on some accessories. The only thing you need here is the diorama base for the complete look.
