Today's article is dedicated to Zvezda 1/144 Su-30SM (7436). New kit copies Russian fighter aircraft in small scale. Don't be fooled by these numbers, assembled project will be 13cm long with 38 parts in total. This doesn't sound like a small project, but still less than other popular scales available on the market. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames come in sealed plastic bag. Let's open them together and take a closer look.
By the way, here you can read review with another small scale set.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
All frames are molded in dark green plastic, what is rather unusual for aircraft model. Here you will find top fuselage half as well as some armament and engine nozzles.
Cockpit tub is molded as one-piece element which should be inserted in between fuselage halves. There are no pilot figurines included here.
On the opposite side of the fuselage you can see guiding elements as well as the division which follows panel lines.
Lower fuselage half comes on the next sprue. Note that one-piece air intakes are molded separately, but such design still will give you a clean result.
Canopy comes as one-piece element too. You won't be able to open the cockpit, and there are no masks in this kit.
Model stand comes as a nice bonus from Zvezda. Such a thing will definitely come in handy for displaying assembled model.
Decals sheet is not that big, but printing quality looks fine. You will also find full number registry here.
Marking guide is printed in color and there are several options provided in the kit. Rear side of the box carries pictures of the finished models.
Assembly manual is printed in black-and-white format. You can check all pages in the video-review.
Today's Sukhoi should be already available for purchase. Overall quality looks fine, and you can assemble this model without glue too. Such a design makes kit attractive for children too. Nevertheless, even experienced modelers should be able to get a nice result from the standard plastic. Moreover, kit design looks great out of the box, and just requires careful assembly.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!Pros
