Valiant Wings P-47 Thunderbolt Airframe&Miniature (25)

Today I will tell you more about Valiant Wings P-47 Thunderbolt Airframe&Miniature (25). New release comes as the biggest book from this publisher and features more than 280 pages inside. It is still a softcover book with color print on the pages. Overall format should be familiar to you if there are some previous issues in your collection. As for the aircraft, I guess it doesn't need an extra introduction, and I reviewed some of the kit on the website. Let's open the book and check everything together.

If you wonder, cover art comes from Jerry Boucher. It would be cool to have such poster included in the book. :)

We start with contents page, where you will see clear division on Airframe and Miniature chapters. In the end of the book authors also included full list of P-47 kits, accessories and books.

Everything starts with development history of this airplane. You will find a lot photos throughout the book, and there are more than 200 of them in the book.

Another useful chapter is showing you the differences between various versions. This kind of info might be handy for a better result in whatever scale you would choose.

My favorite color profiles chapter is also here, and features plenty of interesting markings. Those are not full-scale marking guides, but you still can find something great for your project. In total there are more than 40 pages in this section.

Miniature chapters will include detailed build articles inside. Here you will find several reports based on different kits in various scales.

Another chapter will show how to have the main features of various versions of P-47.

In Detail section is always pleasure to read as it includes not only the black-and-white photos of the parts, but also the drawings. By the way, book also features 1:48 scale drawings as the nice bonus.

New book is already available for standard price of 29.95GBP. In my opinion it is more than worth this price and should help you get more information in one source. Whole format is easy to read, and there are a lot of new photos and details which can bring a bit more detailed build in whatever scale you prefer. Moreover, some modelers like those lists of the possible build options, as they can make a shopping lists accordingly. I would recommend to hurry, as such books get sold out quickly and then it takes some time to see them back on shelves. :)
