This time I will tell you more about ICM 1/48 Do 217M-1 RAF Bomber (48276). New release comes as yet another version of twin-engine bomber in popular scale. We reviewed some of the previous types, so it will be interesting to see what is offered here. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so all parts come in several plastic bags. In total there are 204 parts which should assemble into a model with 399mm wingspan. Yes, it will be quite big, so let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version of this aircraft.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame carries separate panels and some of the internal bits. Note that wing mechanization is molded separately.
This sprue comes in two as it carries landing gear, wheels, propeller and engine. Yes, both engines are included in the standard package, and you can think of how to expose them on your build.
Both gondolas should be glued out of several panels. Overall design is straightforward, so you just need to pay attention to how everything goes together. Also on this frame you can notice cockpit panels.
Large fuselage halves come on the next sprue. External features include recessed panel lines and rivets. Whole assembly will definitely take some time due to its size, so don't hurry while getting everything together.
Bombs are also here on the separate sprue.
Another pair of the fuselage halves can be found on the last grey frame. Overall quality still looks fine.
Large glazed cockpit is one of the main features for Do 217, so here you get nicely molded clear parts. Each frame is packed into separate plastic bag.
What is even better - ICM includes mask templates in the assembly manual. Such a thing should be useful for a nice paintwork on the model.
Decals sheet is not that big, but printing quality looks great and should be easy to apply on the model. Assembly manual is typical for ICM. I show all pages in the video-review.
Captured Do 217M-1 is definitely a special thing to build and it will look different from what we are used to see for this type. Overall quality of the kit is great, but I would rather recommend it to experienced modelers who would know what to do. It is also nice to get masking templates, as the canopy on this aircraft is definitely taking some time with doing your own masks. I think there is also some aftermarket can be found in case you would like to have even more features on your model.
