ICM 1/48 B-26C-45 (48328)

In this article I will tell you more about ICM 1/48 B-26C-45 (48328). Kit comes as yet another version of the famous American bomber in popular scale. I reviewed previous releases, so it will be interesting to see what is included here. Overall packaging is typical, frames are separated into several plastic bags. Finished model will have 454mm wingspan, and should be glued out of 362 parts. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frame is dedicated to various cockpit elements as well as wing mechanization. Note that you will also have to work with small and thin parts here.

Cockpit should be generously detailed, so it is better to properly paint it before assembling everything together.

Those large spars will be holding wing in place. For some modelers it should be enough, but I would recommend to get a metal rod for a better connection.

ICM also supplies both engines for this Marauder. Note that cowling frontal section is a one-piece element which should look great on the finished build.

Two fuselage halves come on the separate frame. Both feature recessed panel lines.

Each wing should be glued out of two halves. Engine gondolas are also separate of course.

Here you can see tailwing for this aircraft. There are guiding elements which will help you with alignment of large parts.

Interior parts look great, so it might be worth to invest more into aftermarket PE for even better look.

Clear frame is packed separately, and molding quality looks great. ICM also provides masking templates in the assembly manual.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols here. All three options can be seen on the photo below.

New Bomber aircraft should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an impressive unit of a model, but it is something for experienced modelers. Final result should be quite large, so if you don't have enough space - better think twice. Moreover, there is a good opportunity for adding more as various elements just beg for some fine features like wiring. :)
