This review is dedicated to Flyhawk 1/700 HMS Prince of Wales 1941/5 (FH1153S). Kit was reviewed some time ago, but only now we can discuss it together. First of all it is important to mention that on the table you see Deluxe version which features a bit more things for fine features. Moreover, original plastic was really nice, so it is interesting to see what is actually improved with metal. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, each frame is packed separately. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with HMS Legion in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
In this video you can check wooden add-on for your build.
Deck part is quite large and features guiding elements. Those should be handy for positioning all items on the top of it.
Hull should be assembled out of several sections. Don't worry - Flyhawk also provides guiding elements there for the easy assembly.
Just like previous releases from the same brand, this one features one-piece superstructures. Such design should be easy to install and also quick to paint.
Overall molding quality looks great. I didn't find any issues even on the most sophisticated parts.
Turrets might be a bit tricky to assemble, so take your time. Moreover, don't forget that Flyhawk provides metal barrels in this version of the kit.
Don't be fooled by the scale of this release, there are a lot of tiny parts, and assembly will require steady hands from you.
At the same time I am glad to see that manufacturer tried to provide as many objects as single-piece parts as it was possible to do.
Deluxe version includes ship insignia in separate metal case. Such thing might be handy for displaying your finished model.
I would recommend to paint all lifeboats separately. Such approach will give you a bit better looking result.
Another typical feature from Flyhawk - thin attachment points. Those will definitely help you keep all parts in the best shape. :)
Note that masts sections also come as one-piece elements. Such design will be easier to install, but definitely requires careful handling.
Deluxe version is different because of those two things - PE add-on and metal parts. Kit scale might be too small, but with help of those parts you will get impressive features. The only thing is that some items will require magnifying glass.
Kit also features special metal weight, which should be glued inside on the special points. Decals sheet is not that big, but printing quality looks fine.
Kit also features special history insert which also shows some technical info about subject. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and you can check it closer in the video-review.
Today's kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great combo in one box, but this is not something I would recommend to even think about in case you are beginner. Overall quality is quite impressive, and there are a lot of features to play with during the assembly. Moreover, Deluxe Edition goes even further with offering some additional items which will help model to become even more sophisticated. The only price of all of this is the need for really careful assembly, and then you will be rewarded with fine result.
