Today's article is dedicated to the new kit from Modelcollect - 1/72 128 mm FLAK40 heavy anti-aircraft gun. After all those missiles we saw in previous releases, Chinese manufacturer decided to turn attention to AA guns. This one come in typical box, and you will be surprised that there are only four frames inside. Let's open them, and take a closer look.

Сегодняшняя статья посвящена новому набору от Modelcollect - 1/72 тяжёлой 128 мм FLAK40 пушке ПВО. После всех ракет в предыдущих моделях, китайский производитель решил обратить внимание на ПВО. Новичок поставляется в типичной коробке, и вас наверняка удивит, что внутри только четыре рамки. Давайте откроем их и рассмотрим поближе.

All frames in this model are quite wide, so in total there are 4 sprues. On the photo above you might notice parts for the main gun. Yes, it will be assembled out of two halves, so you should be careful while gluing those together.

Все рамки довольно широкие, так что всего их здесь 4 штуки. На фото выше вы можете заметить детали для орудия. Да, его нужно склеить из двух половин, так что придётся поаккуратничать при склейке.

AA gun stand is also designed in interesting way - two legs are fixed and two should be inserted into their spots. Thin parts on the upper frame will need careful separation or maybe even replacement with soldered wire. On the photo below you can see assembly manual, which is a typical Modelcollect brochure with short history note on the first page.

Подставка орудия выполнена интересным образом - две ножки фиксированы, а другие две нужно будет вставить. Тонкие детали на верхней рамке потребуют аккуратного отделения или может даже замены желехом. New kit should be available immediately. Of course, it will be useful for some diorama in 1/72 scale, where you would like to get more realism. Be ready to work with small and thin plastic parts, which might be tricky to separate. I was surprised to see that some elements are not copied with photoetch, and there is no PE at all - that is unusual for Modelcollect. Nevertheless, professionals will find a way to use metal on this small gun.

Новинка уже должна быть доступна. Разумеется, она точно пригодится для диорамы в 72-ом масштабе и добавит реализма. Будьте готовы работать с небольшими и тонкими деталями, которые будет непросто отделить. Меня удивило, что некоторые элементы не скопированы при помощи травления, и его вообще нет в комплекте, что необычно для Modelcollect. Тем не менее, профессионалы наверняка найдут способ использовать железо.
